So, if you havnt noticed, ARMA2 is on sale, along with all the expansion packs.
It is basically a hyper realistic FPS, where 1 bullet will kill you.
But! it has a campaign which, including all the expansions totals around 24+ hours
Well worth checking out!
And, there is Co-Op campaign and PvP multiplayer, as well as vehicle's including aeroplanes and helicopters!
GET IT WHILE IT IS ON SALE

Looks like quite a good game, how does it compare to call of duty though?

It's a war simulator so not comparable with call of duty since they have a lack of realism and go for maximum play fun. Operation Flashpoint and ARMA are war simulators, which means that it only goes for realism which can be rather fun to play. It really requires you to tactically plan your route out and be careful at every hill you go over.
Awesomeee
I prefer Operation Flashpoint because ARMA is a OPF ripoff and OPF looks better
I do recommend to play the co-op rather the singleplayer. It's really nice to plan out your tactics together

Nope, ARMA 2 is the rightful successor to OPF. Codemasters's latest OPF's are the real ripoffs here.
I played the demo of ARMA2 and really had some fun with the scenario-editor, but I never got to actually buy it. Maybe 1 day I will. Also, I tried OPF:Dragon Rising, and it was just meh.

ARMA is a copy of Operation Flashpoint
The first operation flashpoint was released in 2001
The first Armed Assault was released in 2006
Do your research plx
In the end, both games have the same developers, but Operation flashpoint is definitely not the ripoff kthnxbb

Well, ARMA2 was developed by Bohemia Interactive, those are same people that made the first OFP, like you said. After some shit between publisher Codemasters and developer Bohemia, the latter made their own successor to OFP and renamed it "ARMA", because they couldn't name it OFP as Codemasters still had a license to that name.
But then Codemasters also decided to develop their own vision on OFP, and called it OFP: Dragon Rising, they could do that legally. So, the real spiritual successors to the first OFP are ARMA 1 and 2. Because Codemasters leech off the well-known name of OFP to market their own game, that would make me say that Codemasters's OFP is sort of a ripoff on the work of Bohemia Interactive on the earlier OFP's.
