well as the title says AMD's new range of processors arnt far around the corner :>

they are as, 4(4*** series), 6(6*** series), and 8(8****series) core CPU's, and with an extremely easy model names it will be easy to choose biggrin.gif

comparing the BD 4**** to intels supreme i5 2500k (also a quad-core), the BD x4 kicks the i5's arse by a mile! - and if any of u know how powerful the i5 2500k is.. then u will have a pretty good idea how powerful these chips will be - and prices said to be starting at £200, u cant really complain as its only £50 more expensive than the i5 happy.gif

so not long for a new line of processors to be launched, but what also happens at the same time? - the older models prices drop! take the 1090T x6 for example which is currently £140 @ amazon, should drop atleast £20 or so, if not a full £40, and paying £100 for a 6 core processor is great value imo...

dont u just love competition? :>

sorry AMD will NOT beat Intel's I5 SB 2600k lol,

It may come cloase but it will never beat it

with amd you are sacrificing performance for more cores sorry but the Intel i5 has 2 cores for a reason.

niqqa please, - maybe if u overclocked an intel i7 2600k to 4GHz u might get a straight up 7.9 reading :>

EDIT: isnt the i5 a quad core? or atleast the 2500k is?

i have nothing against intel, i accept that for the past.. 13-14 years i belive that intel has dominated the market, iv just never liked them as their prices are way above the norm (apart from the i5 2500/2600k) i was half tempted to buy 1 a while back

just sayin' amd's luck is about to change i think o:

Nope never gonna happen Intel have been in the lead for never gonna change unless AMD decide we are gonna give lots of performance for a cheap price not gonna happen they would lose money.

anyway amd allready give low prices for.. high'ish end CPU - thats why AMD has always been known for its better 'bang for buck'

intel yr still paying a very high premium tho, and AMD's arent stable? a lot of overclockers suggest AMD's (apart from yet again the 2500k) - and besides most of keeping your system stable in overclocks is to do with cooling i know people who have 965's and have overclocked em to 4-4.5GHz

yeah u can do the same with intel im sure, just sayin AMD have never really had stability issues

and besides if AMD do bring out a more powerful CPU than intel, it will still be cheaper than intels comparing chip, coz amd are cheaper on the whole

damo, u are aware that AMD rules the CPU market in around the 1990's dont u? (i cant remember the exact year)

and very true goat! thers mixed rumors about this bulldozer shit, i dont mind either way coz it will bring AMD's and intels current chips down in price so.. its a win/win really
