Gentlemen, the time has come once again for our yearly steam summer sales, where you buy games you will never play for low prices. Although your wallets will suffer, it will be known that they sacrificed themselves for the greater good. In just under 4 hours from now, it is expected to commence. But until then, we shall wait with great excitement and plan ahead as to what we hope to buy.


This thread shall be used to post any bargains you have secured, what is currently on sale and how much punishment your wallet has taken. Thread will be updated as time goes on so....let the gabens begin.

Hello friends of the afterlife community. Unfortunately my wallet is in no state to be further emptied by the summer sale.

May you all acquire tons of video games for ridiculously low prices. And yes the summer sale is definitely going to start tonight, I have reliable sources confirming this.

ITT we also recommend games that we once played that are on sale right now.


Portal 2: excellent game, really worth its price. Good humour, great puzzles. Definitely a must-buy. 9/10

Total War: Shogun 2: turn based campaign, real time battles. Really great fun, had a good time online too. Would definitely play it again if it weren't a 25GB download. Gigantic battles with thousands of troops on big maps! 8.5/10

Crusader Kings II: Grand strategy. Definitely not bad. In this game you're a medieval lord who has to make sure that his dynasty survives the ages. It's all about plotting, intrigue and warfare. Like all grand strategy games, this game also generally tends to be a hit or miss with people, you'll either love it or hate it. Very deep game, but steep learning curve. Get it if you're interested in medieval history. 8/10

There is some firearms, but not many.But if you play the campaign online you start of with swords and stuff anyway :dave:
